During the past 8 years, we have created a partnership with LDI Technical Services to oversee our maintenance and repair of all kitchen equipment in Stampede Park.
All of our experiences during the 8-year association with LDI have been extremely positive.
LDI provides 24/7 service, knowledgeable service technicians, accurate diagnosis and written quotes.
Service technicians work closely with our chefs and operation managers to ensure all work completed on each piece of equipment is communicated clearly.
During Calgary’s worst flooding disaster in 2013, LDI played an integral part in helping the Calgary Stampede achieve its goal by opening for business on time.
It is through these great partnerships that we are able to maintain our quality and consistency to all guests that visit the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth.

LDI Was Our Salvation
We usually think of “salvation” as a religious term, used by organizations such as ours—churches—to describe the work we do. But late last summer we ourselves were in need of a little salvation, and it came from LDI!
Four months into an ambitious renovation of our church facilities, we were entering the home stretch when we discovered asbestos in some of our walls and ceilings. Suddenly everything was in questions. Important “Wish List” items—like furniture for our Sunday school—has to be dropped from the work orders as we tended to the asbestos removal, a costly and time-consuming necessity. We went back to the congregation for financial support and they responded generously, despite their “donor fatigue.”
Then in September, as we were anticipating the return of our Inn From the Cold ministry, which requires a fully functioning kitchen, disaster struck. Our industrial dishwasher, for a long time held together by duct tape and chewing gum, quit on us for good. We knew we had to replace the dishwasher—and replace it fast—but we had reached the bottom of the well. But on more time we went to the congregation. We received one donation that took us halfway there. Other donations came in in dribs and drabs. One parishioner stepped forward to broker a deal with a manufacturer so we could buy a new dishwasher at a discount price. So we could afford the dishwasher, but there was nothing left for the installation.
That is when LDI stepped in, offering to install the new dishwasher… without charge! Within weeks the new unit arrived and your technician was right there to install it. Your staff was sympathetic of our predicament and so generous in their gift of time and talent, working away quietly behind the scenes as the Haz-Mat crews in bio-hazard suits hauled away the asbestos. They then ensured that we understood the workings of the new unit before we signed off. When the dust settled, the building was safe, the dishwasher was installed, and we were back in business! Our grand opening was last weekend.
Our most sincere thanks to you for your generous and thoughtful gift in our time of need. Miracles still happen, it seems.

Impressed with LDI’s Professionalism & Generosity
On behalf of the YWCA of Calgary and the “Women Making a Difference” network, we would like to express our deepest thanks to all the staff and Management at LDI Technical Services Ltd. for your generous contribution.
LDI Technical Services was kind enough to provide technical staff to do the initial hookup of a much-needed high temperature dishwasher donated by “Women Making a Difference.” The technician promptly came to the site, ensured that the machine was operating properly, and showed the staff and residents of “Safe Haven” at the YWCA how to safely operate and maintain the equipment. We especially appreciate LDI’s patience in this matter, as two separate site visits were necessary in order to get the dishwasher installed. We were so impressed with LDI’s speedy response in this matter as it was so important for the residents to have an operational dishwasher. We will not forget LDI’s professionalism and generosity.
The YWCA Safe Haven program provides a safe and nurturing environment along with the necessary supports to assist adolescent girls ages 15 to 18 at risk of sexual exploitation, in making positive and focused changes in their lives. Safe Haven provides safe housing and basic needs, life skills training and support, access to medical services, opportunities for re-connection with their families. The program’s focus is to provide a safe and supportive alternative to the streets, while supporting and assisting in the provision of daily routines and structure by requiring attendance at school, employment training programs, treatment programs and/or working or seeking employment.
We sincerely appreciate your generous support of this important community program and will continue to recommend and use the services of LDI in the future.

Prompt, Courteous Service
This letter is to express my personal gratitude, along with several University staff members, for all of the timely, quality service provided by the staff of LDI Technical Services Ltd.
Every time there is a problem with the equipment on the University Campus and a call needs to be made for service provision, LDI has responded with prompt courteous service which is genuinely appreciated by myself, Campus Infrastructure, and our food service contractor, Chartwells. Gary, the gentleman who we are usually sent, is always looking out for the best nature of the University with his strong advice for what actions need to be taken to help keep our food service facility up and running for the hungry students of Campus. This goes out to all employees of LDI that assist us in keeping up with our day to day operations. Keep up the great work!!

High Standards of Customer Service
This is a letter to express our appreciation of the customer service you provided. We phoned in with problems with our commercial dishwasher, explaining that we were housing 40 homeless guests for the evening and due to health regulations, required use of this dishwasher.
Your office person, who took our call, also arranged for credit so we could pay by cheque as our financial officer is a volunteer who works full-time downtown and we were unable to pay C.O.D.
We were sent out a serviceman that afternoon who not only fixed the dishwasher, but also gave our staff some lessons on maintaining the dishwasher. He was such a pleasure to have on the premises and to deal with, please pass on our thanks to him as well.
In today's culture, it is wonderful and refreshing to find a company that has such high standards of customer service. We simply wanted to pass on our thanks and gratitude for a job well done. We will certainly be passing on your name to other churches and businesses.
